Finished Simulated Client Project!

I think I’m finished with this project, I’m really pleased with how this has turned out. Some aspects of this could be improved but I feel they are all techniques which will come with practise. I may work on this piece of animation more to get it a bit more flowing but I don’t think it will be worth me trying to do this in time for the submission

Update on Animation

I have completed the whole of my animation sequence but have a few more changes to make. It’s finally coming together and looking like a finished piece. I think most of this works well but I still do have a few things to sort out.

Almost all of my animation!

I have now added sounds in, improved a lot of the animation and changed some of the timing. I think it’s going really well but I have still found some sections which I need to improve further. I am going to animate the girls mouth a bit when the noise starts making it sound like her muffled voice, and a few smaller tweaks in order to complete it. There is one scene missing between the last two text frames. This is quite simple and will be added in soon.

First Sequence of Animation

This is the first part of my simulated client project almost complete. I’ve worked the whole way through my basic animation adding more detail into it. I think what I have done so far works really well and I’m pleased with the outcome. I’ve made notes on which sections need improvements and I will continue to go over the animation picking up on more things I need to alter. Obviously haven’t added in sound yet and need to add the rest of the animation onto the end.

Animation So Far

I have added some detail to my animation and I’m pleased with how it’s looking. A few things to tweak but am gradually getting there! Now onto the rest of the animation.

First Draft of Animation

Here is the whole animation without the end scene, lots more detail needed to be added but the general animation is there

Playblast of First Interactions Between Boy and Girl

Here is the part where the boy and girl meet and he goes to shake her hand. No facial animation so far but I’ve got the timing and general movements in.

Close Up Playblast of Man Entering Scene

Here is a second playblast of my animation so far, gotten a bit further than previously, haven’t really altered the beginning walking so it’s still quite bouncy but I want to get the whole sequence done and then go back over and improve it. I like the timing here and think I can make it a lot better by simply adding facial animation.

First Scene Playblast

First scene for my simulated client project. I think the walk is too bouncy and I need to make him seem more worried about being caught. I think the speed of his movements are good and will look better when I split it into the different cameras (first half far away view as in the video and second half more zoomed in view of the waist up). I haven’t animated the head at all so the next aim is to animate the head and shoulders giving him a more suitable walk. I will carry on with the rest of the animation with basic movements that I have displayed in this video.

Developing my Storyboard and Animatic

I took the advice of my tutor and improved my proposal and developed it into an animatic to demonstrate my plans more effectively.

Once I viewed my animatic I realised improvements I needed to make immediately. The introduction part seemed to take up a lot more time than the main part with the man and the woman. Therefore I decided to cut down the time spent watching the man walking towards the button and extend the time with the man and woman. This would then delay the time before the laughing giving it more effect.

The man would experience a few more emotions while in his situation: Excitement at getting something for free, Inquisitiveness showing he knows something is not right, Frustration/ anger leading into disappointment, finally ending up embarrassed.

I will add more emphasis onto the part where he is about to press the button as he has the dilemma between right and wrong. The environments will remain quite plain and simple to enable the location to remain mysterious.

Finally, I am working on a stronger message to appear on the screen at the end, ‘Don’t Compromise on Quality, Always Get The Real Thing’ is a possibility.
